 THE BIG DANCE will take place in FOUR ballrooms at the Masonic Temple in Detroit, MI on Saturday, October 20, 2007.iut

A year and a  half after the first BIG DANCE, "Dancing with the Stars" is still going strong, dance movies are still being produced and more and more people are entering the dance community.  Once again, join us for our wildly popular “Dance with the Pros” segment and whirl around the floor with a charming, professional waltz partner or do a sizzling salsa with a hot Latin diva. Everyone is welcome! Come to the BIG DANCE II and dance with a pro in a sparkling 9000 sq ft ballroom at the Masonic Temple or let it rip to the Big Band sounds of a 16 piece orchestra. Plus, you can Salsa your brains out in the Colonnade Room or do a smokin' Argentine in yet another room!

~ MC Suzy Brecht is back! Professional dancer, teacher and DJ, Suzy will preside over the festivities in her very entertaining style. "Cool Beans!" and "Smooches"!
~ A special "Dancing with the Pros" segment. Line up and dance with all the local pros!
~ Fountain Ballroom ~ Paul King and the Rhythm Society Orchestra playing fabulous Big Band music
~ Crystal Ballroom ~ DJ Phil Dorroll from Nashville will be playing Ballroom, Swing, Hustle, Salsa, Country, and requests
~ West Coast Swing Workshop from 2 to 5 pm, with Phil Dorroll, in the Crystal Ballroom at the Masonic. Dinner elsewhere (not included) and then back to   the dance. (See workshop details.)
~ Lindy Workshop from 12 to 3 pm, with Kelly Palmiter, in the Fountain Ballroom. (See workshop details.)
~ Salsa Workshop from 11am  to 2 pm, with duane Wrenn, in the Colonnade Room. (See workshop details.)
~Argentine Tango Workshop from 12am  to 3 pm, with Lori Burton in a fourth ballroom. (See workshop details.)
~ Free lesson at 7 PM in each ballroom
~ Dance from 8 PM until 2 AM
~ Jack & Jill Contests in Swing, Hustle, Smooth & possibly a late night Dance Jam
~ Showcases by professional dancers
~ A huge slide show of local dancers from the past several decades
~ Information Station featuring studios, teachers, clubs, events, and other dance related items
~ Video of the dance available a few weeks after the dance. (Still in the works)
~ Seating/Tables may be reserved for clubs, studios, or any kind of group
